Yes, we do offer a 45 minutes initial consultation where you’ll meet with a medical provider, evaluate your symptoms or health concerns and discuss possible testing and treatment.
The initial consultation is separate fee from the membership, providing you an opportunity to make sure this is a great fit for you.
Any services beyond the initial consultations including lab work will be ordered and reviewed under a membership plan

Most functional medicine practices are $500 to $800 for initial visits.
Typically follow-up visits are recommended every 3 to 4 months at similar visit fees. Prior to founding WellSpot Functional Medicine, our providers have practiced under this type of pay per visit model.
We found that with such high visit fees, patients would often prolong a follow-up appointment even when they felt not all their symptoms were getting relieved.
Additionally, there was no way to provide patients open access to the provider via email or text when seeing hundreds to a thousand patients per year.
We wanted to shift to an opportunity for patients to have direct access to their provider so adjustments can be made as needed. Doing so has allowed for faster and more effective results for our patients.
Our membership program allows for a lower monthly fee which includes a certain number of visits per year, ongoing access to your provider, amongst other amazing benefits!
We are a boutique healthcare practice and each practitioner only takes a set number of patients per year.
We believe that it’s the relationship between the provider and the patient that nourishes a better opportunity for you to heal and live an optimal life.
-
We know that patients get the best results when they are committed to the process. Our membership programs are intended to be a 12 month program.

FSA/ HSA cards are accepted. Most FSA plans allow funds to be utilized for any medical related expense while HSA card is best reserved for labs, delivered compounded medications, and supplements.

Whether you have insurance or not, with our membership you pay one flat fee for care and services so there’s no surprise bills later. We are cash based practice and out of network with insurance. Most healthcare insurance are primarily set-up for emergency coverage and do not provide adequate benefits for the extended wellness and functional medicine services that we provide.
Additionally, the majority of healthcare insurance plans have a high deductible plan, leaving you with surprise bills weeks or months after services… that’s never fun!
It’s our belief that you should always “know what you owe before you go”... meaning there’s no surprise bills.
You can utilize most insurances for cost savings on lab work with in network AND out-of-network. Out-of-network options tend to have amazing savings benefits for the majority of patients, especially, if you do have a high deductible plan

We see ourselves as an extension of primary care services, bridging a gap in healthcare between functional medicine, hormone imbalances, and sick care, offering more convenient services and access to your provider that’s not apart of traditional primary care settings.
Although all our WellSpot Functional Medicine Providers are board certified in family practice and trained in other speciality areas, we do want you to maintain a relationship with a local primary care provider for an annual physical or preventative exams and things or other needs that we are unable to fulfill with virtual services.
We encourage women to complete annual exams with a Gynecologist for preventative exams including pap smears.
-
We do offer sick care visits as it correlates with each membership tier either included or for an additional fee pending the membership tier. If you would like to utilize us for more sick care services as needed, it's best to select the Complete Care Membership or Executive plan.
Keep in mind, there’s times sick care may be out of the scope of our office/ facility. If we can reasonably care for in office or via telemedicine, such as colds, sinus infections, urinary tract infections, and pink eye we will do so! However, we are not an urgent care or emergency department. If you have a serious or life-threatening condition, you need to proceed to your nearest urgent care or emergency department.
-
We need to establish care in person at one of our locations due to both state and national medical regulations. Once care has been established, we can operate by telemedicine as much as you prefer! Labs can be coordinated across the country, as well as, delivery of compounded medications, and supplements!
